What better way to unwind after Christmas than to spend the day with family and friends at the Wellington Boxing Day Race Meeting.

Now, the club’s second largest race meeting, the Boxing Day event attracts not only those who have ventured to town to celebrate Christmas, but also those who follow the country racing circuit.

These races are less formal, than others held throughout the year and through the slightly different Fashions on the Field competition, people are encouraged to dress comfortably for the hot conditions.

2010 saw the introduction of the Boxing Day hurdles with proved to be quite popular. It is predicted these hurdle events are set to become a feature of the annual Boxing Day Race Meetings.

Offering a full card of races and fun and friendly atmosphere, the Boxing Day Races should not be missed.
